This premium garden transformation in Bothwell involved redesigning a basic outdoor space into a modern, low-maintenance garden tailored for both relaxation and entertaining. The client wanted a high-end finish that would maximise usability while creating a clean and structured layout using durable, premium materials throughout.
To achieve this, we completely reconfigured the garden to include a large porcelain patio area, artificial grass lawn, bespoke raised planters, decorative borders, and new fencing. The overall design focused on creating a seamless transition between the property and garden while introducing depth, texture, and contemporary styling throughout the outdoor space.
The completed garden has been transformed into a luxurious outdoor living area with a sleek and modern finish from every angle. The combination of Bluestone Mist porcelain paving, granite detailing, raised feature planters, and lush artificial grass has created a balanced and visually striking space that is both practical and easy to maintain.
The spacious patio area now provides the perfect setting for outdoor seating and entertaining, while the bespoke raised planters and decorative finishes add structure and character throughout the garden. The result is a contemporary outdoor space built for year-round enjoyment with minimal upkeep required.
The project began with full excavation and groundwork preparation to create the correct levels and foundations required for a long-lasting installation. A solid Type 1 sub-base was installed throughout the garden alongside careful levelling and drainage preparation to ensure long-term durability and performance. These groundwork stages were essential in achieving the flawless finish and structured layout the client envisioned.
For the main entertaining area, we installed Bluestone Mist porcelain paving using large-format slabs to create a clean and seamless appearance. The patio was enhanced with premium granite detailing, including bullnose steps to create a smooth transition between levels and a matching granite border framing the space. The combination of porcelain and granite provided both a durable surface and a sophisticated high-end finish.
To introduce depth and texture into the garden, bespoke raised planters were constructed and finished with cloudy grey split stone wall cladding and granite coping stones. These features created striking focal points while softening the overall design. The natural lawn was replaced with luxury artificial grass, providing a vibrant year-round appearance without the need for mowing or maintenance. Decorative black ice gravel, fresh planting areas, and new fencing completed the transformation, tying together a modern and highly functional garden space designed for everyday living.
