This large-scale garden transformation in Bonhill Road, Dumbarton involved completely redesigning and rebuilding an outdated outdoor space into a modern, low-maintenance garden suitable for both relaxing and entertaining. The customer wanted a clean and contemporary finish with multiple practical areas that would completely modernise the property and improve the overall flow of the garden.
To achieve this, the entire garden was excavated and re-levelled from scratch, allowing our team to install the correct foundations, drainage, and sub-bases needed for a long-lasting finish. The project included over 130m² of Kandla Grey porcelain paving, bespoke feature circle designs, anthracite composite fencing, fresh lawn installations, and new planting areas to create a balanced and visually striking outdoor space.
The completed garden now offers a luxurious and highly functional outdoor living area with a modern, structured appearance throughout. The combination of premium porcelain patios, bespoke circular features, contemporary composite fencing, and large lawn areas has completely transformed the property.
The finished result is a stunning low-maintenance garden that provides the customer with multiple entertaining and relaxing spaces while significantly enhancing the appearance and value of the home.
We began this project by carrying out a full excavation of the existing garden, removing all old materials and preparing the area for a complete redesign. This allowed us to correctly re-level the garden and install strong foundations suitable for the Scottish climate. Careful planning during the groundwork stage ensured the final layout would not only look impressive but also remain durable for years to come.
A major feature of this transformation was the installation of 130m² of Kandla Grey porcelain paving supplied by Paving Stones Direct. Two large patio areas were created alongside bespoke circular feature designs, helping to break up the space while adding a premium finish. The porcelain paving provides a modern appearance with the added benefits of being low maintenance, durable, and slip-resistant for year-round use.
To further modernise the garden, anthracite composite fencing was installed around the perimeter, creating additional privacy and security while complementing the overall contemporary design. We also installed approximately 140m² of fresh lawn areas and new planting sections to soften the hard landscaping and create a practical family-friendly outdoor space with a balanced finish throughout.
